In 2012, No Pain for Children has established a biennial prize to be awarded to people who have distinguished themselves in excellence for scientific merits or have contributed with their work to the advancement of pediatric palliative care. The Award has changed through the years, recognizing the excellence in different fields and among different ages.

The awards are presented during the opening ceremony of the International Congress on Palliative Care Pediatric organized in Rome by Fondazione Maruzza Lefebvre d'Ovidio and consist of a sum of money and a contemporary artwork chosen for the sensitivity of the artist and for its intrinsic emotional value towards children.
